History Of The Television
The History of the TV is not the most complex thing to understand. The "Electronic" TV obviously was
invented and came out after the radio during 1927 whereas the "Mechanical" TV, which was (basically
just a screen and a projector), came out in the early 1800's and 1900's.
The Electronic TV down the line became more popularized by two exciting key events like the start of
The Tonight Show in 1954 with Steve Allen and The Presidential Debate with everyone's favorite at the
time (1960), John F. Kennedy.
One of America's favorite stations at the time CBS also popularized the use of color on TV screens which
was also used in the debate. So all of a sudden The TV became the center of attention in rich
working class homes and even if others were not rich working class, they still had old versions which still
meant a lot to them.
A lot of families would even go to what was considered the "extreme" (at the time) to re furnish their
entire house to ensure that no matter were you were you could see the screen and enjoy. Whereas now it is
beyond normal, sometimes some families now have multiple TV's in different rooms
